Heidi Ford's Obituary
Heidi Ford was a wife, mother, and the life of our household. Everything seemed to rotate around her and that is how WE liked it. She loved to travel all over the world, was a great dancer, cook, and also played the slots machines a little. So, as her husband, I traveled a lot and she even turned me into a pretty good dancer. She had many, many friends. She always wanted to be doing something. She loved being a mother most of all and our two sons keep her busy. Through the years she was very involved with the PTA, volunteered heavily at the various schools they attended and kept baseball and basketball scores on the side. She volunteered at food banks. She purposely developed a business at home and did not enter the corporate world as she wanted the freedom to devote every moment to our sons and try and ensure their success. As our sons got older and started dating she tried to befriend every girlfriend as I think she missed not having girls around. Since we had two boys she watched countless hours of “Sport Center” and followed all the professional teams but was especially passionate about the Dallas Mavericks. She was kind, forgiving, sometimes stubborn, and could also dole out discipline to our sons that were over a foot taller than she and was far tougher than me. She was a caregiver and the light of my life. There will never be another like her and God took way too early. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 22, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
