I grew up four houses from the Baker’s and have many fond memories of this great family. Mr. and Mrs. Baker were beloved neighbors of the Rhyne family and I share in their loss and rejoice in the homegoing celebration of Mrs. Baker. Joan was my classmate throughout school, but her older siblings set an example for the younger children in the neighborhood. I pray God’s blessings, peace, strength and comfort in your loss. The Bible reminds us, in Nehemiah 8:10, that “ the joy of the Lord is our stronghold.” Friends take comfort in knowing that the God has and is creating a new thing in Mrs. Baker’s promotion.
