Helen I. Blackmore was born June 15, 1928 in Niobrara County, Wyoming and passed away July 13, 2009 at her home in Garland Texas. She is survived by 2 sons, Tony Blackmore of Arlington and R. Gene Blackmore and wife, Dolores of Mesquite; 2 daughters, Cindy Rushing and husband, Mike of Rowlett and Janet Martin and husband, Ed of Dallas; and one sister Norma Rae Patterson of Arp, Texas, 12 grandchildren; Ronald Blackmore, Angie Blackmore McCalment, Michael Johnson Jr., Sherry Johnson Jones, Will Rushing, Michael Rushing, Wayne Blackmore, David Crowhurst, Terry Crowhurst, Edwin Martin, J.D. Martin, Tim Martin. 13 great-grandchildren Cassie Blackmore, Trivett Jones, Jacobee Jones, Jastin Jones, Jessica Johnson, Tanner McCalment, Gabriel Martin, Madeline Martin, Ellie Rushing, Zoé Rushing, Cheyenne Crowhurst, Phillip Crowhurst, and Antonio Crowhurst and 1 great-great grandchild Amelia Wilken. And many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents Myra (Mollie) and Edwin Stigile; 2 sisters Merna Stigile, and Mildred Shoupman; 3 brothers Bill Stigile, Bob Stigile and Kenneth Airhood, her first husband Hubert Surratt, and one grandchild Michael Abernathy. Helen worked for 28 years at Anthem Insurance as a compliance Analyst. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
