Helen Slade Bostick's Obituary
Helen Slade Bostick passed away in Dallas on February 25, 2019. She was born April 16, 1922 in Shepherd, TX to Arnett and Maurine Lovett Slade. Helen was valedictorian of her high school graduating class of 1939 and received several scholarship offers from state and private colleges. She chose to move to Dallas to attend Draughon’s Business College for two years, graduating and going to work for an independent oil company where she met and married Vernon Bostick. After his death she attended Executive Secretarial School and worked until retirement as secretary to the senior minister at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Slade Robinson and her husband Kenneth.A memorial Service will be at Presbyterian Village North Chapel located at 8600 Skyline Dr Dallas, TX 75248 at 11:00 am Monday March 4, 2019.
