Helen graduated from Italy High School in 1947. She worked at Trane Co. in Dallas, Christian College of the Southwest, and City of Garland as an administrative assistant. After retiring, she volunteered at Garland Memorial Hospital. Helen was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, serving as a Bible class teacher for many years. She was an exceptional cook, decorator, seamstress, ceramic artist, square dancer, and flower gardener. She was passionate about hosting guests in their home and also loved traveling. Knowing how she took great joy in decorating for Christmas, we bet she’s doing the same in Heaven. Helen will be remembered most for the love she gave her family, especially the grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday, December 13 at Restland, Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or charity of your choice.
