Helen Virginia Evins' Obituary
GARLAND, TX- Helen Virginia Evins, 91, was born to parents, J. Emmett and Leanna May Mangum on January 3, 1927, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She passed away on April 8, 2018, in Garland, Texas.Helen loved to dance, she loved Country and Western music and music from her youth. She was funny and loved to laugh. She took care of everyone her whole life with great dedication and passion.Helen is preceded in death by her parents J. Emmett and May Mangum, her loving husband Jack Evins, sons Michael Evins, Bruce Evins and daughter Sandy Evins and partner Don Davis.Helen is survived by her sister Gerrye Calhoun of McGehee, Arkansas, grandchildren; Cyndi Staffield, husband Heath and children Brodie and Sloane of Wylie, Texas, Courtney Duncan of Arlington, Texas, Bobby Evins and wife Amy and daughter Emery of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Billy Evins of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Derik Evins of Tyler, Texas, nephews Bill and Irving Granderson, nieces, Elizabeth Ann Simmons, Elizabeth Groom and Renee Pierce; nephews Randy Calhoun, Raymond Granderson, David Johnson and Phillip Johnson; special people to Helen; Rick, Robbin, Grady and Mary Catherine Wells; Tim, Veronica, Josie and Preston Bates. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.A memorial service for Helen will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church Rowlett, 4405 Main Street, Rowlett, Texas 75088.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243, (972-238-7111).
