Helen Margaret Hall McKnight's Obituary
Helen Margaret Hall McKnight was born May 23, 1929, in Myra, Texas to Clara Haker Hall and Leonard Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William B. (“B”) McKnight, sons Randy and Donald McKnight, and brothers Leonard (Bud) Hall and Louis (Jim) Hall. Survivors include granddaughter Abby McKnight, daughter-in-law Norma McKnight, special cousin/caretaker Margaret Haker Smith and her husband Jim. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.Helen retired from Texas Instruments in 1991 after a 30 year career in quality control. After she retired, Helen told her Lord that, if he gave her good health, she would do volunteer work. Until her health began to fail, Helen spent more than a decade providing volunteer services to the Lancaster Nursing Home, to Heather Glen Elementary in Garland, to the Christian Care Center in Mesquite , and to a number of activities at Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland.Officiating at Helen’s Celebration of Life are Gary Bingham, Larry Marshall, and Olin Carney.Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home, Wildwood Chapel at 3:00 p.m.. Burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park, Court of Good Shepherd.
