Helen Manzi Harmon's Obituary
Helen Harmon, born on October 14, 1935, in Howe, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Richardson, Texas. She was 90 years old.
Helen’s life was rooted deeply in the Lone Star State, where she was born and raised. Over the decades, she built a legacy of love and resilience that touched the lives of those around her. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother affectionately known as Nana, she adorned her grandson and great grandchildren, Helen cherished her family above all else.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Steve Manzi and daughter Debbie Hughes. Her legacy continues through her grandson Cameron Hughes wife Ale and great-grandchildren Hayes and Hudson Hughes. Helen’s nurturing spirit and unwavering support were constants in their lives.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lloyd Harmon and Joseph Manzi. She also mourned the loss of her siblings: Lester Nelson, RC Nelson, JW Nelson, and Katherine Watwood.
Throughout her life, Helen found joy in simple pleasures. She had a passion for gardening—tending to flowers and plants with care and patience that mirrored how she nurtured those around her. She also enjoyed playing tennis, embracing the sport with energy and enthusiasm.
Helen’s warmth extended beyond her immediate family to all who knew her. Her presence brought comfort and strength to many across generations.
