Helen Mildred Moore Johnson, Age 99
Helen was born August 29, 1920 in Belton, TX, passed away on June 2, 2020. She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Roy Leon Johnson; Patsy Sutton – Daughter; Verna Belle Westerman – Mother; Leonard Moore – Father; Olin Moore – Brother; Ruth Law – Sister; Bill Westerman – Brother; Chuck Oakley - Grandson
Helen, often referred to as “Babe” or Mildred when she was younger, lived in Dallas where she first met “Leon”, they dated and married shortly thereafter. After a short transfer to Minnesota, they quickly returned to Texas making Dallas their home. Helen worked as a pattern grader alongside of her sister, Ruth at Sunny Isle. She retired from Sunny Isle. Helen always kept family as a priority through her entire life. She had 2 daughters, Patsy and Suan she loved very much. She became a widow at 55. She loved so many things including going “garaging”, traveling to Las Vegas, clipping coupons, sewing the list goes on. She loved to tell stories and was the first to laugh at herself. She absolutely Loved her family, family was always first. In her later years she remained independent, keeping up her home and even driving. She was a hero to many, anyone who met her fell in love with her. She was our matriarch and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by Suan Hopper – Daughter; Sheri Ten Hagen, Karen Murphy, Spencer Oakley, & Jason Hunt – Grandchildren; Ryan Murphy, Shawna Blume, Kara Peavy, Bailey Ragsdale, Austin Ten Hagen, Christopher Hopper, Taylor Hunt - Meagan Kluge – Great Grandchildren; Hagen & Jensen Barnett, Owen & Brighton Ten Hagen, Max & Bella Blume, Jet Murphy, Brody Peavy and Logan Kluge – Great Great Grandchildren; Elaine Law - Niece; Michael Law - Great Nephew; Jade & Mya Law, Kaden Law and Emily Cardenas - Great Great Nieces
