Mrs. Helen Dunn Klinkerman's Obituary
Helen Dunn Klinkerman, age 96, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Born on December 6, 1927, to the late Harvey and Mary Lee Dunn in Dallas, Helen was educated in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD), graduating from W.H. Adamson High School. On May 6, 1947, she married Mr. Delmer Alexander Klinkerman. They were married for 59 years and together had three children: Steve Klinkerman, David Klinkerman, and Janet Hambright.
Helen was a 47-year employee of Sears, Roebuck & Company, and in her last position served as Editor of the employee newsletter at the Sears regional distribution complex on Lamar Avenue in Dallas.
She was a member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and served a term as the organization’s vice president. She was named 1970 Editor of the Year by the Dallas Industrial Editors’ Association. She was also a member of the International Women’s Club of Dallas.
Helen's life reflected a rich tapestry of interests, including reading, traveling, photography, attending church, singing in the choir, and enjoying music. She volunteered for years at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and at Medical City, both in Dallas. A devoted member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, Texas, she found solace and community in her faith.
She leaves behind a legacy cherished by son Steve and wife Claudette; son David and wife Charlotte; and daughter Janet.
Grandchildren include Doug, Kim, Jennifer, Russell and Rebecca Klinkerman, and Greg Hambright. Her great-grandchildren include Kyle, Brynn, Everett and Leighton Hambright, and Samara Emanuel.
Helen also is survived by her siblings Dorothy Wells and Harvey Thomas Dunn.

In honoring Helen's life, we remember a woman whose positivity, warmth, love, and humor touched the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace.
