Helen L. Miller's Obituary
Helen Lucille (Colegrove) Miller, born July 27, 1922 in Kaufman, Texas went to be with her Lord on April 6, 2016 in Duncanville, Texas. Preceded in death by three husbands: John L. Kirby, Elmer S. Blackmon, and Joe A. Miller, mother, Mary Baker, father, James Colegrove, and eleven brothers and sisters. Survived by sons John Kirby and Roger Kirby, grandson Steve Kirby, granddaughters Crissavol Lupher and Andrea Miller, great-grandsons Nathan, Dustin, Travis and Colby, and numerous nieces and nephews, including a very special niece, Mary Ann Stuart. Helen spent over 93 years as a north Texas resident. Educated in Kaufman County, she worked full time for A&P Grocers before retiring early. A resident of Duncanville, Texas since 1980, Helen was an active member of First Baptist Church of Duncanville. She enjoyed social gatherings, playing 42, and gardening/tending to her lawn. Helen exercised daily and was proud to say that she maintained her own lawn and flowerbeds well into her 80s. Services will take place at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Abbey Chapel at Restland Memorial Park with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
