Helen Elizabeth (Reed) Phillips' Obituary
Helen Elizabeth (Reed) Phillips, age 94, passed away on August 1, 2024, at her home in Allen, Texas. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Helen spent her first 11 years in Ellington Missouri. She attended high school in St. Lewis. While in high school she worked as a Candy Striper. Helen received a scholarship from the Deaconess Hospital She became a registered nurse then she attended the University of Missouri in Columbia where she earned her bachelor’s in science. While attending the University of Missouri, she met her future husband, Lee Phillips.
Helen had many hobbies: skiing, horseback riding, sewing, photography, studying languages, gardening, “The New York Times’s Crossword Puzzles”, and playing the piano.
Helen is survived by her husband, Lee Phillips, 2 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
