Helen Vernelle Poteet's Obituary
Poteet, Helen Vernelle was born on December 8, 1920 to Ervin and Pearl Evans of Leonard, Texas. She was the third of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Otis Poteet; her sister, Bonnie Moore, and her brothers, Homer, Pete, and Wayne. She is survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Helen retired in 1983 from the Dallas County Probate Court as a secretary. She was a member of Cliff Baptist Church, and later Northlake Baptist Church. Helen was also a member of The Daughters of the Nile. A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm, Thursday, September 9, 2010 in Restland’s Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
