Helen B. Presley's Obituary
Helen B. Presley, born December 25, 1925, in Sumner, Texas, to Jesse and Mary Beard, passed away at her daughter’s home on September 15, 2017. A long-time resident of Garland, Helen worked at Varo Mfg for more than 25 years while raising her family. An avid member of First Baptist Church in Garland, she enjoyed her Sunday School class and many of the church groups. She married Bobby G. Presley on May 12,1945 who preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by her children, Judith Kissinger and husband Frank of Rowlett, Jane Peek and husband Johnny of Garland, Don Presley and wife Sharon of Corinth, grandchildren Mike Piccola of Frisco, Kathy Jones of Garland, and Robert Peek of Garland. Her great-grandchildren, Dixie and Cheyenne Robertson, and Morgan Peek, all of Garland, were the light of her life. She is also survived by many friends and relatives who were so dear to her. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
