Helen Tidwell's Obituary
Born October 8, 1925, in Kansas City, MO and passed away August 26, 2017, in Dallas, TX. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, H. L. Tidwell, and survived by her daughter, Patricia Ware, her granddaughters Elizabeth Ware and Molly Cosby, great grandchildren Emily, Eleanor and Wesley Cosby and many devoted friends. Her family and friends treasure the many memories of her escapades, her adventurous nature, and her fun-loving outlook on life. Mrs. Tidwell began her career as a secretary at U.S. Cold Storage and was an important figure in the establishment of the Southwest Automotive Association, planning exhibitions throughout the country. She also served the Dallas Independent School District as secretary to Dr. William T. White and for many years worked with her late husband, H.L. Tidwell, in their Oak Cliff business. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3811 Oak Lawn Ave. at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 2.. Graveside services will follow in the Crestview section of Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas, 75243. Followed by a reception there. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dallas SPCA or the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
