Helga Friedericke Blazkova-Berger's Obituary
Helga was born in Germany on March 25, 1932 to Bedrich Blazek and Friedericke Tietjen. She passed away June 17, 2016 in Plano, TX. Helga was the proud mother of Cornelia, Karen and Greg and loving grandmother of Rand, Sam, Adam, and Regan. Helga held a Master’s Degree in History. Her interests also included Anthropology and Psychology, in which she held Bachelor’s Degrees. Helga was a student of life, always reading and looking for new information. She was a life-long teacher, always imparting information, help and/or guidance. Her hobbies were many and varied from weaving, painting, stitchery to gardening and cooking; she continually tried new things along with practicing the old. Helga is survived by her children, Cornelia Meseke, Karen McConathy and husband Kevin, Greg Berger and wife Laura; grandchildren, Rand McConathy, Sam McConathy, Adam Berger, and Regan Berger. She will be missed. Graveside service will be at 3:00pm on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
