Helga Evangeline Newbould's Obituary
Age 94, died at home in Dallas March 2, 2012. Born July 31, 1917 in Denver,CO, the sixth child of Danish immigrant parents Ingvald and Christine Andersen. In 1943 she married Loyal Slauson and had two children. After twenty-two blessed years of marriage, Loyal passed away in 1965, and three years later, Helga married widower and Salvation Army officer, Lt. Colonel Eric Newbould. They had eighteen wonderful years of marriage until he died in 1986. Helga is survived by her daughters, Barbara Leeman and husband, Dave, Martha Nottle and husband Tom. She was preceded in death by sons, William Slauson and Al Newbould. She had thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Visitation will be on Fri. March 9th from 5-8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Celebration Service of her life will be Sat. Mar. 10th at 10 am at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4701 Hedgcoxe Rd. Plano, TX 75024, www.trinityplano.org
