Henry Allan Knight's Obituary
Henry Allan Knight, of Farmers Branch, Tx., was born in Hico, Tx. on Jan. 25, 1926 to the late Henry Demos and Biery Keene Knight and died Aug. 21, 2017 in Dallas. He married the former Dena Proctor Hazelwood on Feb. 5, 1965, in Farmers Branch, she preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2016. Henry was retired from the Dallas Power & Light as a Senior Electrical Engineer and was a member of the IEEE. He served in the U.S. Army, was in the battle of the bulge of the 329th infantry and received the purple heart award. Henry was a 1950 graduate of Texas A&M University and a member of the Faith United Presbyterian Church in Farmers Branch since 1965. Survivors include daughters Sandra Cook, Rosalind Deatherage and Laura Pierce; Sister, Betty Dunn, Brothers James Royce Knight and Joe Knight; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Knight, sons; David Knight and Dennis Hazelwood and by a brother Wendall Knight. A celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, at the Faith United Presbyterian Church, 12717 Marsh Lane, Farmers Branch.
