With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Henry Arriaga, who departed this life on September 5, 2025, surrounded by the warmth and love of his cherished family.
Born in Waco, Texas, on April 7, 1944, and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Henry lived a life marked by devotion, kindness, and unwavering faith. He was a man of quiet strength and deep compassion, known for his steadfast love for his family and his commitment to living a life of purpose and grace.
Henry shared 60 beautiful years and one day of marriage with his beloved wife, Angelita Arriaga. Their union was a testament to enduring love, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and countless cherished memories. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and service.
He is survived by his loving wife Angelita; his children Bessie Condon and her husband Chris Condon, Henry Arriaga, and Frank Arriaga; his treasured granddaughter Shelby Laning and his son's former wife, JJ Zeitzogel He also leaves behind his dear sisters Anita, Olivia, and Linda, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Arriaga and Bessie Torres; his sister Gloria; and his brothers Frank Jr. (deceased at birth) and Johnny.
A devoted father and husband, Henry found joy in the simple moments—family gatherings, baseball games, and quiet evenings filled with love. He was a passionate fan of the sport, often sharing stories and cheering for his beloved Chicago White Sox with enthusiasm and heart.
Henry’s life was deeply rooted in his Catholic faith. He was a proud and active member of the Church and the Knights of Columbus; always striving to serve others and live by the values he held dear. His faith was a guiding light, and his presence in the church community will be deeply missed.
A funeral service honoring Henry’s life will be held on, September 12th, at Restland’s Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, and a graveside service at 3:00 PM in Restland Memorial Park’s Serenity Gardens.
