GENTRY, HENRY “DOC” of Gainesville was born August 7, 1922 in Carrollton to the late Tom and Annie Gentry. He passed away September 2, 2010 in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Lee Gentry, his 7 brothers, and 3 sisters. Henry is survived by his 3 daughters, Barbara Bickle, Carol Duer, and Becky and Shane Robinson; 8 grandchildren, Mike and Sam Thomas, Krista and Jon Cheyney, Rusty Washburn, Donnie and Michelle Washburn, Mindy and Zack Schumacher, Bill and Nina Hill, and Trace and River Robinson; and 8 great-grandchildren, Clinton, Matthew, and Chloe Thomas, Zachary and Bethany Cheyney, Jacob Washburn, Brayden Schumacher, and Weston Hill. Henry served in World War II from 1942 – 1945 as a Private 1st Class in Company E, 334th Infantry and received a Purple Heart. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, September 3, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
