George, Henry Carl was born on July 13, 1926 in Fisher County, Texas, and went home to Jesus on February 22, 2013. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific. After the war, he met the love of his life, Frances Wardlaw, and they were married in 1948. They are members of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas. Henry was a member of the Local 100 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 65 years. He also served as former president and board member of Sunnyvale ISD. As a lifelong member of AQHA, he raised, showed, and raced quarter horses. Henry’s love for horses translated into successful business ventures as well. He operated a quarter horse breeding facility with his prized stallions: Ramble Bar, Bar Depth Charge, Double Bar Lee and most recently Zan Parr Sonoita. In addition, he developed and marketed a medication for horses and other livestock. Henry is survived by his wife, Frances, who stayed lovingly by his side watching over his care. Survivors also include their daughter, Brenda and her husband, Kenny Dulock; their son Stan and his wife, Pam. His dearly loved grandchildren are Sarah and Benje Feehan, Jeff and Kirbylane George, Terry George, Sean Dulock, Michelle Dulock, and great grandson Levi Feehan. Henry is survived by his sister, Opal Jo Bounds, and is preceded in death by his brothers: Wesley George, T. Grady George, Clarence George and Markie George; sisters: Tommie Lou Harvey, Lucille Harvey, Helene Bayer, and Anna Mae McWhorter. He enjoyed family reunions and get-togethers with all his nieces, nephews and cousins. He also enjoyed outdoor activities, dancing, and all forms of sports, especially Dallas Cowboys football. Our family would like to especially thank the staff of Cambridge Court, Gardendale Hospice, Acappella In Home Care, and Winters Park Memory Care for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Dallas Chapter Office at 4144 N. Central Expressway, Suite 750, Dallas, TX 75204.
