Henry Bliem (Hank)'s Obituary
Henry Bliem, (Hank), Chief, US Air Force retired, of Garland, Texas, passed away on March 6, 2019, at the age of 87 He is a native of New York. He attended Spring Hill College in Mobile Alabama, the University of Maryland and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, Nebraska. Hank was in the Air Force for over 24 years before retiring in 1976. He spent over 8 years overseas including tours in England, Labrador, Germany and Viet Nam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. While in England he met and married his wife and had one daughter. After retiring from the Air Force, Hank. joined the JC Penney Co, in their Dallas Buying Office. He later transferred to the corporate buying office when the company moved from New York to Plano, Texas in 1988. Hank retired from the JC Penney Co. in 1998 and became very active in the Senior Games/Olympics, winning numerous trophies and medals playing Table Tennis. Hank is survived by his wife and daughter and many relatives.Visitation for Henry will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave Dallas, Texas 75243.
