Henry Hutchings IV's Obituary
HUTCHINGS IV, HENRY (Hank) beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the age of 60. He was welcomed into this world by his parents, Mary Clapp and Henry Hutchings, III, on May 16, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Forest Park High School and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He worked for E-Systems/Raytheon for over 30 years as an electronics engineer in Garland. He recently retired to enjoy the outdoors at Lake Fork. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and especially enjoyed camping, boating, RVing, fishing, and motorcycling. He excelled at smoking and grilling meats of all kinds. He is survived by Kathy, his wife of 36 years; son, Hal Hutchings and wife, Kristian; daughter, Pam Barton; sister, Mel Bodine and husband, Harvey; sister, Jan Hunley; grandson, Henry Hutchings VI; nieces and nephews, Heather Mobley, Rusty Edwards, Elizabeth Baron, John Bodine, Natasha Gillam, Rodney Gillam, and Larissa Hunley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Clapp and Henry Hutchings, III. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 30th at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 31st at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 2022 Saturn Rd., Garland, TX 75041. Burial will follow the service at Restland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Texans for Life Coalition, Catholic Pro-Life Committee, or St. David’s Episcopal Church.
