Henry Lee Larsen Jr.'s Obituary
Of Denton, passed away peacefully at Carriage House Assisted Living Facility where he had been a resident since April, 2007, on January 27, 2009, at 88 years of age. Hank was born October 29, 1920, in Freemont, Nebraska, the son of Henry Lee Larsen, Sr., and Ruth B. Hoffstead, and was a resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex since the age of 5. He also served in World War II with the United States Army. He was employed by Brandt Engineering from 1972 to 1974, and 1976 through retirement in 1989. His favorite pastime was to go to Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue on Saturday evenings, where he took photographs for several years until his health no longer allowed this event. He is survived by his sons, James and wife, Brenda of Denton, Texas; Paul and wife, Irina and granddaughter Janis of Fallon, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janis, on April 18, 1964. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM on Friday January 30, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 11AM Saturday January 31, 2009 at Restland Abbey Chapel. Memorials may be made to the family and will either be donated to Carriage House Assisted Living Facility where he spent his last two years, or to Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue.
