He was such a wonderful man, and we will miss him so much! So thankful to have known him and heard his great stories of a life well lived.
I miss you SO much, Uncle Henry.
I will always treasure our visits and phone calls. You were forever the “Dawn Patrol,” and I can still hear your voice in those early morning check-ins.
We loved talking about your military service, your devoted love for SMU, and, of course, our shared passion for football (whether NCAA or NFL). Add in great food, great wine, great jokes, decadent chocolate treats, dogs (Annie), cats (Cheeto, Bootsie, sweet Katy-Kat), and life in general. We never talked about NCAA basketball (March Madness) or NCAA baseball, but I bet you loved those too! We will forever miss talking with you about anything under the sun!
One of our favorite military stories of yours still makes us laugh out loud. You know the one!
I wish I had asked more questions about your esteemed career with Braniff Airlines. I remember Mom telling us you were preparing to retire. I will always treasure the beautiful “Airplanes” book you inscribed and gave Chase when he was a little boy. (Haha... hard to think of him as "little" at any point in his life! He's about 6'5" and a tad over 200 lbs!)
I went through Mom’s photo albums and found an absolute treasure trove of memories I hope your friends and our family will enjoy. They capture so many wonderful chapters of your life.
You will ALWAYS be in our hearts, Uncle. Please give our love, hugs, and kisses to everyone in Heaven. See you when we get there....
All our love... forever,
Lauren and John
Henry was an amazing human being. He was an unflagging optimist. Kind in all circumstances. He was a favorite of so many and dear to all who knew him. A lover of animals and football.

Thinking about my Uncle Henry today and all the great times we shared. Some of my favorite memories are our trips to Houston’s restaurant — lingering over good food, great conversation, and our little “wine time” tradition. Those moments were simple, but they meant everything.
He was a wonderful man, loved by all his nieces and nephews, and someone who made every gathering feel warmer just by being there. I’m grateful for every laugh, every story, and every glass of wine we shared.
Cheers to you, Uncle Henry. You’ll always be in our hearts. ❤️🍷Love, Kim
