Henry Stanley Reiter's Obituary
Born February 21, 1938 to Henry and Ida Reiter in Sentinel, OK. Stan died peacefully at home on November 21, 2009 after a valiant battle against cancer. He is admired by all who know him for the courage and positive attitude that he maintained throughout his battle. Stan graduated from Clinton High School and attended both Southwestern State College and Oklahoma University. He enlisted in the US Army Reserve and trained at Ft. Knox and Ft. Dix. In1962 he started a 20 year career with Travelers Insurance Brokers and in 1982 entered management with Alexander and Alexander Insurance Brokers. In 1987, he and his adoring wife, Angela, opened a gift shop called Fiddlesticks in Olla Podrida. Stan met Angela in 1972 while working for the Travelers in Pittsburgh and it was truly love at first sight. They were married in Heinz Memorial Chapel at the University of Pittsburgh on December 9, 1972. They began their married life in Tulsa, OK and were later transferred to Dallas where they have made their loving home in Richardson. They have two lovely daughters, Amy and Erin, and he is “Papa” to this three grandchildren. Stan was a loving, caring, thoughtful, nurturing man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He was an excellent golfer and avid sports fan. He is survived by his wife, Angela, his daughter Amy and her husband Steve Robinson, their three children Megan, Bridget, and Reid of Garland, his daughter Erin and her husband Aaron Irwin of McKinney.
