Henry Laurie Smith's Obituary
Henry Laurie Smith, age 68, died at Medical City Hospital October 27th after a long illness. Larry was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in University Park. He attended Highland Park High School and Tulane University. He was predeceased by his father, E.Gordon Smith and his maternal grand mother, Alice Moffett Russell Thornton. Larry is survived by his mother, Mary Frances Smith, his children, Joshua, Laurie,and Amber Smith; the mother of his children, Margaret Browne; his grandchildren,Tiannah, Ariannah, Samuel, Abigail, Hudson and Harper; his brother, Robert Thornton Smith, nephew, Christopher Best, nieces Victoria and Natalie Smith; his sister, Anne Gordon Smith Burt, nieces Ashley and Meredith Burt. The family expresses appreciation to loyal friends, Charlene E. Martin and Dana Russell and to the doctors and nurses of Medical City Hospital Intensive Care. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Kids Camp Hope of Medical City Hospital; 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, Tx. 75230. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
