Henry "Hank" Stanley Jr.'s Obituary
Henry “Hank” M. Stanley Jr., age 84, of Forney, Texas went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2023. He was born January 13, 1939 to Henry Stanley Sr. and Gladys Carter Stanley in Dallas, Texas. Upon graduating from W.H. Adamson High School in 1957, Hank served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. Like his father before him, Hank’s passion and drive led him to the Dallas Farmers Market. He had a successful career in the produce industry spanning nearly five decades; where he was loved and respected.
Hank enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and attending dirt track races at both the Devil’s Bowl Speedway and Knoxville Raceway. He was the patriarch of the family and especially treasured spending holidays with them. He was an active member of Long Creek Baptist Church. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him be it family, friend, neighbor or colleague.
Hank is survived by his wife of nearly 30 years; Carolyn of Forney; his daughters, Diana Stanley-Fipps; Cathy Parker and husband Jack Adams; and Miki Faugh all of Emory, Texas; his son Henry “Trey” M. Stanley III and wife Raina of Murphy, Texas; his grandchildren Kevin Vensel and wife Pranavi; Talor Urias and husband Miles; Hanna Faugh, Katelyn Fipps, Henry “Tyler” M. Stanley IV and Ella Stanley; and great granddaughter PyperLynn Trudeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Juanita Poinbouef; and his first wife JoAnn.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 12th at 2:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas with Pastor Benny Craft officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.
The family would like to extend special gratitude to Chris Hines of Hines Nut Company, Otis and Wanda Sneed and the care team at Mesquite Specialty Hospital.
