Henry Arthur Thompson, Jr.'s Obituary
Henry Arthur Thompson, Jr., 84, of Arlington, TX, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019. “Art” Thompson is preceded in death by Billie Jo, his loving wife of 50 years, and his brother Ben Sumblin. He is survived by his son Henry Arthur Thompson, III and his wife Kathryn, his daughter Susan A. Bois, his daughter Karen K. Smith and her husband Mike, and those he considered family, Curtis and Kristi Pyatt and their daughters Alysha and Megan. He is also survived by his grandson, Christopher, and his six granddaughters, Sara, Rebecca, Allie, Katie, Megan and Maddie. Art’s great granddaughter Arra is due to arrive in February. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, dearest life-long friends, neighbors, and all the friends he called family at the YMCA. He will be dearly missed as he was loved by so many. Art is an Army Veteran, as he served in WWII. He loved his country and his flag. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville, Ave., Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society.
