Herbert Joe Carroll's Obituary
Herbert Joe Carroll was born on May 22, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, to Cecil and Helen (nee’ Hicks) Carroll. He entered the Navy out of high school. After four years in the Navy as a sonar technician, he returned to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he met Patricia Sitar on a blind date. He married Patricia, the love of his life, on December 29, 1954. Herb reenlisted in the service, but this time in the Air Force. After his time in the Air Force, Herb entered the civilian workforce with Collins Radio. He loved computer hardware engineering and teaching others about computers.Herb had a dry sense of humor and he loved his TV westerns, the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers. He loved his family very much and loved spending birthdays and holidays with them.He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Helen, his step-father Alton Larson, and his son Michael Carroll. He is survived by his wife Patricia Carroll, son Timothy Carroll (Gwen), son Patrick Carroll (Donna), daughter Colleen Forbush (Michael), daughter Wendy Long (James) and his grandchildren Sean Carroll, Casey Carroll (Stephanie), Kelsey Forbush, Sebastian Forbush, Maura Forbush and Bernadette Forbush. He will be greatly missed.
