Herbert L. Dawkins' Obituary
Born March 13, 1926 in Long Beach, Mississippi; passed away May 13, 2009 in Dallas, Texas. Herbert worked for many years as an Executive at IBM; receiving his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Dawkins; daughter, Jan Eisch; son, James P. Dawkins; sister, Billie Hance; nephews, Bradlee and Tommy Hance; and uncle, Thomas Dawkins. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Sunday, May 17, 2009 Restland Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm, Monday, May 18, 2009 in Restland Memorial Park; a service in Herbert’s honor will follow at 2:00 pm, at St. James Episcopal Church, 9845 McCree Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
