Mr. Herbert Bryce Holcomb's Obituary
HOLCOMB, HERBERT BRYCE born June 25, 1926 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Nelle Bryce Holcomb and Herbert H. Holcomb. Died January 3, 2007 in Austin, Texas. Predeceased by parents and sister, Virginia Lee Bredehoft. Bryce spent hi entire life after six months of age in Dallas. He attended Highland Park schools graduating from high school in 1944. After participating in the Navy V-12 program at SMU, he graduated from Naval OCS and served during the Korean War in Japan. He earned his BBA and MA degrees from SMU and retired from a career with American Title Company in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Myra Holcomb; daughter, Linda Cox of Austin; granddaughter, Carrie Cox Mash and husband Mark; grandson, John Cox; twin great-grandsons, Ethan and Ryan Mash; sister, Mary Nelle Ward and husband John; one niece and four nephews. Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Friday, January 5, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Restland Memorial Chapel, Rev. Timothy McLemore officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charitable organization.
