Hilda Azcue's Obituary
AZCUE’, HILDA ERENA age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born February 25, 1918 in Cien Fuegos, Cuba. She was a graduate of Havana University with a B.A. and Ph.D. in Education. When she first came to United States, she taught bi-lingual Spanish classes with Berlitz School of Languages. She then taught for many years in elementary schools in the Dallas and Garland area. During her younger years she served as a volunteer for Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Scottish Rite Hospital, and Muscular Dystrophy. After retiring from Child Care Dallas as an administrator she served as a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Senior Companion Program. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Guerra and Armida Rousseau, and siblings, Ramon and Armida Guerra as well as ex-husband, Jose Antonio. She was survived by twins; son, Anthony and daughter-in-law, Carol who loved Hilda as a mother; son, Raymond and daughter-in-law, Loan with daughter, Angel living in Vietnam; grandchildren, Michael and wife, Leticia, Kimberly and Jeffrey; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Mikayla, Jessie, Tyler and Devin. Memorial Service: 12:30 PM Friday, April 25, 2014, Wildwood Chapel, Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas Texas.
