Hollie Wayne Thompson's Obituary
Hollie Wayne Thompson was born April 15, 1936 in Duncan, Oklahoma. Hollie graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1959 as an industrial engineer. He led a long and distinguished career at Texas Instruments, where he served in various capacities as an engineer and manager for thirty-one years. Hollie was a gifted thinker and meticulous in all aspects of his life. In his children and grandchildren, he instilled the virtues of hard work, humility, and determination. Confident and wise, he was a pillar on which friends and family would rely. He will be dearly missed. Hollie passed away December 23, 2016, and is preceded by his mother Bonita Thompson, father Hollie Leroy Thompson, and sister, Sue Thomas. He is survived by his son, Clay Thompson and spouse, Jennifer Thompson; daughter, Sandra Thompson and spouse, Stuart Cornwell, sister, Kay Crabtree and spouse, Richard Crabtree; and grandchildren, Trent Thompson, Tessa Thompson, Camden Cornwell, and Kaitlyn Cornwell. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
