Hollis Walter Dunagin's Obituary
DUNAGIN, HOLLIS WALTER born July 25, 1957 in Houston, Texas, passed away November 6, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Walt Dunagin was the son of Sue Crumley Dunagin Weaver and Hollis Hurley Dunagin. He was 1979 graduate of the University of Mississippi and a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He began his career as a Landman working for ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, UNOCL, Santa Fe Energy and Oryx Energy. He joined Reef Exploration, LP in 1990 and was Executive Vice President and Land Manager. Walt was a member of the Dallas Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the American Association of Professional Landmen. Having grown up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Walt loved boating and fishing. Walt loved good food and socializing with friends and family. He enjoyed flying his airplane and collecting antique cars. He had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and was always the life of the party. Walt is survived by his wife Melessa A. Dunagin; sons Sean and John Hollis Laningham; sister Cindy Cantrelle, step-brothers Al Weaver and Butch Weaver, nephew Art Cantrelle; niece Courtney Cantrelle Moore; great niece Caralyne Moore. A memorial service will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 3:30, viewing at 2:30 pm. A graveside service will be held in Biloxi Mississippi at Southern Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
