Hollis Ellic Richardson's Obituary
Mr. Hollis Ellic Richardson. 93, was born to the parentage of the late Johnnie Richardson and the late Dora Ella Bailey on January 10, 1932.
Hollis passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025.
Hollis worked as a Popcorn Popper, Candy Maker and Delivery Driver for Joel Clem Distribution Company at 2626 Elm Street, Dallas, Texas for 35 loyal years.
Hollis was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Cockrell Hill where he enjoyed his church family. Hollis enjoyed listening to old time country music, crappie fishing in Kings Creek. His favorite hobby was being an Usher for 38 years at the World Class Wrestling held at the Sportatorium in Dallas Texas.
Hollis was preceded in death by his loving Wife Mary of almost 66 years, son Roy Michael Richardson, daughter Annie Lou Richardson, parents, Johnnie Richardson and Dora Ella Bailey, grandparents, 4 brothers - Eddie Bill, Floyd, J.C. and Edward, 3 sisters - Lillie Mae, Eva and Beatrice.
Hollis was a faithful loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons Carl Wayne Richardson and Stepson Larry Joe Jackson. 14 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 36 great-great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Restland Funeral Home's Wilwood Chapel at 9:30am, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30am officiated by Pastor Nathan Tucker. Interment Restland Cemetery.
