Homer Millard Davis' Obituary
DAVIS, HOMER MILLARD died July 19, 2014 in Rockwall, Texas. He was born December 26, 1922 to George and Ida Hodges Davis. A lifelong resident of Dallas, he attended Forest Avenue High School. Until retirement, he was employed by 7UP Bottling Co. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwall. A Captain in the 31st Photo-Recon, he flew 69 missions over France and Germany. He was awarded the Air Medal and 11 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross and 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Silver Star. He is survived by Annabelle Moore Davis, his wife of 69 years; daughter, Elaine Douglas of Richardson; son, James Davis and wife, Linda of Edmond, OK; 3 grandchildren, Justin and wife, Jessica, Jeffrey and wife, Missy, Jana and husband, Brady Foster; step grandson, Michael Douglas; 3 great grandchildren, Joshua, Sophie, and Jackson Davis; and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 am on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Rockwall Chapel followed by graveside service at 2:00 pm at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Faith.
