Homer Samuel Gladfelter, 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 in Dallas, Texas of natural causes. He was born on October 5, 1930, to Lavere Gladfelter and Ruth Bosseman in Hamilton Township, Pennsylvania. Homer married Patsy Cunningham on April 7, 1955 in Mesquite, Texas. He made a career of being a salesman, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Homer served in the Air Force from December 29, 1950 to December 15, 1954 as an Aircraft Mechanic.Homer is survived by his loving wife, Patsy, of Dallas, Texas; Daughter; Gay McMahan of Waxahachie, Texas; Son, Gary Gladfelter, of Dallas, Texas; Sister, Carolyn Sadler, of New Oxford, Pennsylvania; Brothers, Howard and Eugene Gladfelter, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.He is preceded in death by his sister, Romaine Herring; and brothers, John, Melvin, Ralph, Robert, and Curtis Gladfelter.A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 2:15 at DFW National Cemetery.
