Hortense Marie Chambers' Obituary
CHAMBERS, HORTENSE MARIE born in Ennis,Texas November 18, 1920. Passed on to be with her Lord on August 31, 2013 after a long illness from the effects of a stroke. Preceded in death by her dearly beloved husband, Walter C. Chambers of 63 years. She was a member of the Royal Oaks Baptist church for many years and worked in the healthcare field for about 20 years. Marie loved to work with people that were in need of care in hospitals and clinics. She loved to travel and her hobby was china painting. She is survived by her daughter, Roger Deane Chambers O’Dell and husband, Robert C. O’Dell of Whitney, Texas. Also her son, Walter Chambers of Dallas; her brother, Ester L. Sublett; her sister in-law, Doris Sublett; grandchildren, Craig O’Dell and fiancee, Laura Hull, Tara Olavarrieta and her husband, Jorge and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 12:30 PM in Restland Wildwood Chapel.
