Dear Irene,
I was saddened to read of your father's passing in yesterday's Houston Chronicle. His obituary summed up the man I knew: honesty, integrity, respect, wisdom, generosity, faithfulness. He was a remarkable man married to a remarkable woman who, with God's favor, created a remarkable family. One of my favorite Bible verses is the preamble to the ten commandments: Exodus 20:6. You, Irwin and your two lovely daughters, Christine and Carolyn are living proof of God's promise fulfilled.
I pray for God's comfort and healing touch for your mother, you and your family, and for Howard's heavenly joy where every tear is wiped away.
