Howard Melvin King Sr. was born to Albert and Sallie King on September 13, 1925, in Stephenville, Texas and passed away on August 5, 2017, in Tyler, Texas. Howard is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty T. King, and son Melvin King Jr. Howard is survived by his wife; Katherine King ; sons, Edward and wife, Marilyn King ,Ray Connell, Denny Phillips, Michael Phillips and daughter Donna Melton ; fourteen grandchildren, Jason King, Gabriel King ,Chance King , Sky King, Leslie Roots, Jon Phillips, Nikki Phillips , Tanya Smith, Samantha Phillips, Juliette Phillips, Brandon Phillips, Noah Phillips, Mason Melton, Kaylin Melton; seven great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Graveside service to celebrate Howard’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Quinlan Cemetery located in Quinlan, Texas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
