Hoyle Emmit Ramsey's Obituary
RAMSEY, HOYLE EMMIT born January 1, 1930 in Cooper, TX. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force working as a Senior Rotary Wing Mechanic. A veteran of the Korean War and a part of the Rescue Air Squad, he went on to work for a company called Varo, Inc. of Garland, TX. Hoyle loved technology and worked for Varo in the Equipment Engineering, Military Night Vision Division. Hoyle is survived by his wife, Audrey Wright-Ramsey of Garland, TX; children: Cathy Ramsey-Wilburn, Les Ramsey and wife Tami Ramsey, Gary Ramsey and Yassi Lam, and Gregg Ramsey and wife Karen Ramsey; grandchildren: Amie Wilburn and fiance’ Brian Gratch, Devon Ramsey-Thompson and husband Captain Ryan Thompson of the U.S. Marine Corp, Jessica Ramsey-Flaherty and husband Joey Flaherty, John Ramsey, Josh Ramsey, Angela Wilburn-Porras and husband Senior Airman Mario Porras-Avilez of the U.S. Air Force, Katherine Ramsey, Britney Ramsey and Tory Ramsey; great grandchildren: Devon Ramsey, Blayke Flaherty, Emmery Gratch; Hoyle’s brother, Cleo Ramsey of Bedias, TX; two sisters, Geraldine George Tadlock of Plano, TX and Sally George-Diden of Silsbee, TX. Hoyle is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Hoyle’s surviving family members trust that he is welcomed in a better place by his parents, siblings and other loved ones who have preceded him in death: birth parents, Leslie Ramsey and Demer Jeffcoat-Ramsey; foster parents, C.R. George and Nealy Webb-George; brothers and sister, C.R. George Jr., Troy George, Kenneth Ramsey-Knight, Pete Ramsey-Isom, Louis Ramsey-Darr and Inola George-Knight. Services will be held at 3:00PM, Friday, January 8, 2010 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30PM, Thursday at Restland Funeral Home.
