SULLINS, Hubert Garland, (89), passed away in Plano, Texas, on July 27, 2025. Garland was born on August 18, 1935, in Bynum, Texas. He was a kind and gentle man, a wonderful father and grandpa and was loved by all he met. He was preceded in death by his wife Jill Sullins of Plano, TX, whom he traveled the world and his parents, Hubert and Eunice Sullins of Bynum and Hillsboro, Texas. He is survived by his partner, Sheryl Burk of Parker, Texas, his brother Billy Sullins and wife Jane Sullins, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, sons David Sullins of Plano, Texas, and Gerald Sullins and wife Jamie, of Austin, Texas, and grandchildren Ryan of Ft. Worth, Texas and Amanda Sullins of Austin, Texas, his step-sons Danny Hight and Kirk Welcher, of Youngsville, Louisiana, and David Hight and wife Elizabeth, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and his granddaughters, Isabel and Caroline Hight of Frisco, Texas. A graduate of the University of Texas, this Longhorn always cheered his school teams on. He achieved success in the corporate world, rising to Director level at E-Systems, Inc. in Dallas. His aim was to see what was on the other side of the mountain. He did so, by traveling to 70 countries and all 50 states. Now, he will truly see what is on the other side of the mountain. He read constantly and was truly a source of useful information. The years he spent in the Dallas Model A Ford Club, and driving in his 1931 Model A Ford Victoria were some of his happiest times. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, August 15 at 10:30 AM at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas.
