Hurley Jay Butcher's Obituary
58, loving son, brother, uncle and friend returned to heaven Wednesday afternoon, November 19, 2008 at his sisters home after a courageous two year battle with renal cancer. Hurley was born October 12,1950 to Raymond and Estelle Butcher in Dallas, Tx. Raised in Oak Cliff and graduated from Kimball in 1969. After graduating with a BBA from the The University of Texas at Arlington, Hurley worked as a District Sales Manager for Modine and G & O until retirement in 1997. Was a life long member and served as president of Sons of Herman Lodge #22. Butch loved to travel and seek out new adventures. Among his many interests were: bowling, reading, watching movies, and hanging out with his friends. His enduring quality of making people laugh will certainly be missed. He was a man with a radiant smile and the ability to make friends with any and everyone. Hurley is survived by his mother, Estelle Butcher; sister and brother-in-law, Teri and Jeff Burgess; nieces Christina and Jennifer Esquivel. The family wishes to thank Dr. Taeoboda and caregivers of Community Hospice. A special thanks to nurse Jack Ross for his kindness and comfort. Services will be held at 3:30 PM Monday, November 24, 2008 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date. Family to receive friends from 4-6 PM Sunday, November 23, at Restland Funeral Home. You may honor his memory with a contribution to the American Cancer Society
