Ida Vivian Jackson's Obituary
Ida Vivian Murray Jackson was born May 12th, 1915 in Pelzer, South Carolina to the late Ralph C. and Elizabeth Curry Murray. Her siblings included Charles F. Murray, Janet Coleen Murray and William E. Murray. She grew up in Spring Hope, NC where she met and married her husband Charles E. Jackson. Their life together took them to Europe following WWII and to Texas where they stayed for the remainder of their lives. After living for a short time in Ft. Worth they made Dallas their home. Throughout the years and all of life’s struggles, FAITH, family and friends were the things Vivian held dear. Munger Place UMC and the prayer group there were vital to her life and her deep and abiding faith. Many friends became like family to both Vivian and Charles and were an integral part of their lives and their fondest memories. Home was always North Carolina and as the years progressed she was torn between staying or leaving Dallas to go “home”. We as Christians know what “going HOME” really means and we know Vivian is finally HOME with the people she loved and held dear. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
