Mildred Ida Sue Miller Hulsey Kotas
January 17, 1934 – October 21, 2020
At 86 years of age, Ida Sue “Granny” Kotas, was called home by her Lord Jesus on October 21, 2020 to greet and rejoice with all those who have gone before her into heaven. She was a beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Granny, Great-Grandmother, and friend.
Ida Sue was born January 17, 1934 to George Anderson Miller, Sr. and Julia Auburn Schults Miller. She is predeceased by her brother George Miller, Jr. of Garland, Texas, and her late husband, Donald Kotas, of Sachse, Texas. She is survived by her younger brother Tommy Gene Miller and wife Nelma, and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by four sons from her first marriage to Don Hulsey and their families: Gary, wife Christine and daughters Teresa and Morgan; James, wife Sandra and sons Andrew and Christopher; Anthony, wife Johanna and daughter Alexandra and stepsons Shayne and Joel; Paul and daughters Macy, Jordyn, and Keliann. Ida Sue was blessed with six great grandchildren.
In November 1983 Ida Sue married Donald Kotas and they lived together in Sachse, Texas until his death in 2006. She and Don enjoyed their garden, their pets, baking, canning, and her grandchildren who were the loves of her life.
