Ida Louise Stromile's Obituary
On November 28, 1947, in Plain Dealing, Louisiana, God in his infinite wisdom, blessed the late Robert & Ord Lee Stromile with a daughter, whom they named Ida Louise Stromile. She was baptized at an early age at the Collins Chapel Baptist Church in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. After high school she moved to Dallas, Texas and became a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Hubert Harris. In later years she joined the St. John Baptist Church of Carrollton, Texas under the leadership of her baby brother Rev. R. Michael Stromile.
Ida Louise Stromile received her education in the Plain Dealing Public School system where she graduated in May 1966. In June 1969 she started working for American Airlines, where she was a dedicated employee and received several commendations until her retirement in 2004.
On Monday, June 9, 2025, the Lord called her home to that special place on high. We thank our Heaven Father for the precious time he allowed us to be with her. She will truly be missed. We stand firm with the understanding that “to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” In God presence, she is reunited with; her father, Robert Lee Stromile (aka Jack); mother, Ord Lee Stromile; sister Gladys Ivey Stromile-Dan; and brothers David M. Stromile (aka Son) and R. Michael Stromile (aka Bub).
She leaves to cherish her memory: (1) son: LaRay Stromile; (4) grandchildren: LaToschia Williams, of Glenn Heights, TX; Jason Williams, of Glenn Heights, TX; La’Mia Stromile, of Waxahachie, TX; Michael J.
