Imelda Ann Watson's Obituary
Watson, Imelda Ann Imelda “Ann” Watson passed away suddenly on March 20, 2011, doing one of the things she loved most, working in her yard with her husband. She was born October 9, 1952 in Oak Cliff, Texas to Raymond and Imelda Baker. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1971. March 11,1975, she married her life partner and loving husband of 36 years, Richard S. Watson. In 1977 they welcomed their first child, Amy S. Watson, whose smile and personality will keep Ann’s memory alive. In 1979 they had their second, a son, Chris Watson, who was the light of his mother’s life. She retired from Wilsonart Plastics in 2002, and became a full-time grandmother to Christopher Shipp, 12, Alexis Torres, 13, and Chris “Deuce” Watson, 7. One of her favorite phrases was “It’s all about me”, but she was a consummate caregiver, life of the party, and a lover of people and animals. She was a woman with a zest for life, who’s energy and smile were contagious. She will truly be missed by the many lives she touched. Ann was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Baker, and is survived by her mother, Imelda K. Baker, 93 and a sister. We love you Ann and will never forget the light you shone on this world. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011, 12:00pm at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Friends and family are invited to attend visitation Friday, March 25th from 6-8pm.
