Iola Stuart's Obituary
Iola Stuart was born to Willie and Lucy Shelton May 31, 1926 in Blytheville, Arkansas and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, and “brother” who was stillborn at 8 months of age, husband, and son (Joe Stuart). Iola is survived by sons, Arthur Shelton, John W. Stuart; daughter, Alecia S. Hillman; daughter/granddaughter, Dante Stuart. She also leaves to mourn seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. She was an avid community/grandparent volunteer. She was very active with the “camp young at heart” at the YWCA in her community. She has been a member of Riverside Baptist Church since she moved to Dallas with her husband and family where she faithfully served on the Deaconess Board, the Eastside Circle, worked with the junior choir, and volunteered as needed. Family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Riverside Baptist Church in Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
