Ione Beatrice DePace's Obituary
DePace, Ione Beatrice LeDoux, 84, passed away on October 8, 2010 in Plano, Texas surrounded by her family. Ione was born on October 3, 1926 in Gloucester, MA to Eugene W. LeDoux (of Sommerville, RI) and Blanche Saucier (of Elk Grove, SD). She married John Edward DePace on October 9, 1948. They had four children Dale Pfefferkorn of Tom Ball, TX and her sons Daniel (Khadija) and their children Sarah and Adam of Monument, Colorado. and Douglass Pfefferkorn and his children Maxwell and Rebekah of Houston, Texas; John (Stephanie) DePace of Ruther Glen, Virginia; Susan (Kaleem) Shaikh and their children Raabia and Asad of Plano, Texas; and Michael (Linda) DePace and their children Anthony and Louis of Millis, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Eugene LeDoux, and her son-in-law Donald Pfefferkorn. Ione was a devoted at-home mother while her children were growing up and later worked as a Respiratory Therapist for Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, Massachusetts, and finally with the State of Ct Department of Human Service when she retired. She was proud of the work she did, and especially the joy it gave her to feel she brought comfort to her patient’s lives. Most of all, her family meant the most to her. A great memory she gave her children was a reunion cruise in the Caribbean. We love you, Mom! Services will be held Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 3:00 in Restland Wildwood Chapel, Ione well be laid to rest at the Chapel Gardens Mausoleum at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Tx., 75243.
